In addition to being a brochure site for my consulting business, this site is also a demonstration of some of the recommendations that I make in my book, Ultra-Fast ASP.NET.
I'm building the site with an LG-4 architecture, although it's currently running in an LG-1 environment.

The photo shows the building where the server is located: Market Post Tower in San Jose, Califorinia, which is a Tier-1 Internet peering point. The server has a single 100 Mbps connection to the Internet via several backbone providers, with BGP-based auto-failover among them in case of outages.
If you might be interested in hosting in the same facility, please let me know and I will put you in touch with my hosting company.

This photo shows the inside of the cage where the server is located.
The server uses two dual-core Xeon 5150 CPUs with 4 MB L2 cache at 2.66 GHz, 8 GB RAM, 1333 MHz FSB and two 73 GB 15,000 rpm SAS disks with a Dell PERC/5i controller.
The software includes Windows Server 2008 64-bit, IIS 7 and SQL Server 2008 Standard 64-bit. SQL Server is configured to have data on one drive and the log on the other. The web site files are on the same drive as the OS files and the data. The server is shared with a separate high-traffic web site that I'm working on.
