Before you place large orders for hardware or software, it can be very helpful to have a neutral
third party review your planned purchase orders.
In particular, I can address issues such as:
- Are you ordering too much of particular items, or not enough, and are they the best type or configuration: CPUs, RAM, disks, servers, etc.
- Do the prices you're paying and the associated discounts and terms look reasonable by industry standards?
- Are there alternatives that you may want to consider?
- Do bundled packages seem reasonable, or do they contain extras you're likely to not use as much as you think you will?
- Are there additional items you may want to consider that might help address your requirements?
I can deliver my recommendations either in written form or as an interactive presentation, or both.
If this interests you, please send the following information, so that I can provide a quote:
- A brief description of your project and overall requirements
- Either a high-level overview of the planned purchase orders (including the approximate number of items involved), or copies of the POs
- Are any unusual terms or restrictions involved?
- What you hope to accomplish from the review
- Your schedule requirements
